Anyone know of a good, possibly free, program that gives the interface of a FTP that can be used for SSH. I remember something like F-Secure but I couldn't find any FTP clients.

Thanks for your feedback and help.

Secure Shell Client from http://www.ssh.com, maybe this is what you want.

*Sorry for off topic, this is my 100th post :D

Putty?

Putty is SSH, I'm looking for a FTP client that is used like a FTP client but can be also used for SSH.

Maybe I sound confusing but a few clients have asked for such an app. Something easy.

If you want something that will do secure FTP, then I would recommend WSFTP. It uses SSH to encrypt the FTP session and prevent your login info from being sniffed as plain text.

Is that what you were looking for?

Yes it is. Thanks. I never used WSFTP. Much appreciated.

WS_FTP Professional has the ability to function as a shell client with the same interface as their FTP client...

I believe you are referring to Secure-FX. It is made by VanDyke and can be found at:

Shall we get into comparisons? ;)

Although I have not used Secure-FX I have used Filezilla : http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla

Being as the first one is $60 and the second one is free, does anyone have experience with both or would like to comment on their differences?

Although this is an issue where price/cost should not matter, I, personally, do not see much difference between the two. GUI is different of course and to be expected, but as far as the important part (encryption & security) I don't see anything to entice me to switch from using FileZilla.

Secure-FX is not worth it.

the ssh.com secure file transfer client and winscp are the best, and free too.

The one thing I like about SecureFX and don't believe its available through the filezilla (good program by the way) is the ability to log into two servers at once. I often find it easier using SFTP to move files between servers instead of using the command line. It doesn't look like you can do that with Filezilla (unless I'm missing it).

Now, there's a good point!

FileZilla does not have the capability for muliple Server connections and I can definitely see where a feature like that would be handy.

Couple more good points like that one and SecureFX may get a new buyer..
