Does anyone remember this, I think they discontinued it early this year maybe last year, this was a great program. Does anyone know where I can find a similar program?

For those that don't know what it is CNET Catchup was similar to Windows Update in the fact that it scans your computer and whenever you need an update you just go online and you get all the updates for your particular computer. It scanned the computer and any programs that you had on it that had updates, you could update them all from one place.

Anything similar around?

I believe Cybermedia used to make Oilchange which was something similar. I believe they got bought out by Network Associates. I don't know if the product is still made.

Haven't seen it in a while. It was included in something called First Aid - but then Symantec and McAfee pretty much took over.

As for CatchUp: http://catchup.cnet.com is the URL I have bookmarked:

I know Catchup was discontinued, I was very disappointed when that happened. I was just looking for something similar and so far I can't find it.

The newest version of Oilchange I could find was from 1998. I don't think I'll be using that, it's a little bit outdated.

So no one else knows of a similar program?
