Hope they aren't really doing that...

Seems odd..

Their rates aren't that much better than 2checkout's, so I'm not sure why they'd laud that - but I guess it's possible.

I hope they aren't either - but I guess it would give me one more reason to switch. (to 2checkout, that is). If only they'd update their payment pages....

Hm... Really??

Well, it's common today to send email to your competitor's customer. 2CO does have a bad server (they are prone to DDOS attack)

No offense,

But I hope the 2checkout customers stay where they are.

I don't want Paysystems to go down every other week because of DDOS.

As far as Rates go, Paysystems does have a cheaper option, if your items are greater than ~=$40.00.

1. 3.95% + $1.00 = Cheaper for things more than $40.00
2. 5.50% + $0.45 = Cheaper for things less than $40.00

2checkout's pricing is option # 2.

Well, it's common today to send email to your competitor's customer.Well, common doesn't necessarily mean it's ok. :)

Paysystems also offer cheaper rates.

5.5%+0.35 (instead of 0.55 in 2CO).

But 2CO's sign-up is really instant. I'll use them for backup (incase that my account got cancelled due to chargeback.. you know paysystems policy -- one chargeback and you're out)

Paysystems is somewhat annoying with their non-response of any emails.

But, they do answer the phone and live chat. So that's nice.

Those emails have gone around before.
Not sure but if I remember right, it was a reseller of theirs sending it out and they removed him for it.

Just report it to PS and they will take care of it..

You can only have a 1% max chargeback ratio

lobaloba9

ohhh... so that's not 1 chargeback....

if one has 100 transactions a month, he is allowed 1 chargeback per month.

that's quite reasonable...

Paysystems DO spam!

We just received a sales e-mail from a guy called Marc Cormier who is a Account Executive there.

The funny thing is we already use Paysystems and have a very nice Account Executive, but what annoys us is we have to fight spam everyday then we receive spam from a company we regard highly and I think its poor that such a company have to spam to get business.

I rang up Paysystems and spoke to Marc who told me they e-mail 2CO users (which still does not give reason for this spam) and to just ignore it. I went on to saying that SPAM is wrong etc and he put the phone down on me.

Anyways, we rang again and this time rang Merchant Care to complain and they said forward them the e-mail where they will speak to Marc plus forward to the Director (yea right!)

I have told them that we never deal with companies that spam/have to spam to gain business therefore, we are considering moving to a new merchant.

Anyways I have copied the e-mail received below for your perusal:

Please excuse our sales reps and the unsolicited email.

It is a frequently used method of contacting new clients and is very effective.

Please do take into account that there are no mass SPAM emails going out. The reps are simply contacting you individually by the only means that they have in many cases.

This matter has been brought to the sales director and was addressed this morning.

I can also assure all clients that our reps will not hang up the phone on you.

Thanks

Paul

If I wanted to order something from a company, I would contact them. They are mining for 2Checkout customers and soliciting them when these clients have no previous business or communication with PaySystems.

That is spamming.

Maybe I didnt want to be touched. So you're saying if you could find my phone number you woulda made some unsolicited calls to go along with the junk mail? Ever think maybe that's why our phone number isnt available to the public? All our customers are given our number in their welcome email.

I've sent a few emails to Paysystems mostly requesting information and every damn one has been ignored.
