You could try calling although it is an international number =/
If all else fails contact the webhost to see if they can assist in any way.

i sent an unformal e-mail letter to them insisting it be removed from their website, and if not, that a legal cease and desist letter would also be sent, and action pursued.

If nothing is done after that, I will then contact their host.

Could charge them with infringing on copyright, piracy, re-distribution of illegal material etc etc

You would think they wouldn't steal the whole layout i hope this get settled

i'm going to be too busy tonight to take care of this, but i'll definitely let you guys know by early next week, how the situation is going.

I'm not in this for some retribution, i simply want it removed from the site. If contacting the guy's host and having them remove it for me is what needs to be done, then that's fine by me.

I make free templates for brand recognition, and traffic/referrals/ recipricoal linking back to my site. If people don't keep the links, they dont keep the templates. ;)

They are saying they made the template though.

Thats terrible! Those are 2 of the most ignorant and lazy things ever! ripping a site and then too lazy to change the name! BRUTAL!

Why don't you contact their hosting company.

It's a definite rip - notice how badly they wiped off the GEEHS.COM from the image? At first, it looks as if it's supposed to be there, but after looking at the real deal, it's very easy to spot the fake.

and according to free template sites, this definitely is a template (a free one anyways, I agree it isnt much of a template if you were to pay for it).

I can't believe i've found this topic.
Not only do i speak german, i also know this guy - Thorsten Scholz, the so called "CEO" of his so called "company" - in Person.
And believe me, there's no doubt he ripped that template.
He's an aging looser, a failed programmer sort of, desperate for money. Since he hans't really any skills, he's pretty much stuck with taking free templates and selling them or "educate" jobless in making "your own homepage". Right now he's fooling around with tedesko.de, trying to sell Mambo CMS (as if it weren't easy enough to download and install it by yourself) and offering all sorts of services. I mean, c'mon, this guy is sitting in the basement of his, soon to be distrained house with his teenage son and his wife, in the middle of nowhere. Right now he is getting sued for lots of money (he also fooled around with tax authorities etc.).
How do i know this stuff you ask? Well, i know a guy who worked for him personally. No ****. This guy, a quiet talented one, worked for him for a couple of month (in that basement mentioned above) while Thorsten Scholz "CEO" of "ATMK" went on vacation to sunny Egypt for whole 2 weeks!
The best part is, he weren't even paying his employee.
He still owing him quiet a loan. But what did he do? He fired him, declaring he werent working enough. After that he tried to sell the online shop system, my buddy were developing for him. He even declared he developed in on is own. Funny thing is, that before hiring that guy, Thorsten Scholz called himself "homepage-service" and didnt even got a logo. That guy he hired designed the logo and the name then.
Better watch out for this Thorsten Scholz, i have the feeling this wont be his last rip. What a looser.
