We are reselling at the moment but want to look at how much it would cost to expand to a dedicated server should the need arise.
Looking at most Dedicated UK servers, you only get about 20gb per month, does anyone know where else i can look??

Come on! there must be a good UK based host that offers Dedicated Servers with 100+GB Bandwidth per month.

Must the server be located in the UK?

Probably because the UK has rip-off prices for bandwidth.
Webfusion charges about £20+vat per GB bandwidth.
Lowest I have seen for UK hosting is about £10+vat per GB.
Now look at US hosting... £1.80 ($3) per GB average.

Thats what i have found, UK bandwidth charges are crazy!
I have been considering a raq with rackshack as it seems such good value for money compared with what i would get in the UK.
My only concern is that UK clients may not want to have their sites hosted on a US server.
I am in two minds about it, would there be a loss in performance that would be noticed???

Trust me, they won't notice it if the backbone lines are decent.
www.wireplay-halflife.com/forums/ - one of my sites in the US
www.moose-shack.com - same server
www.kevlar-killers.com - On Weinbar's server

Thanks :)
One of our clan mates called MiKita designed it - she is pretty good at doing gaming sites.

Hello
You might want to try Ultraspeed.co.uk
We have a server colocated with them which includes 50GB transfer and its less than we pay for 100GB in the USA.

From memory, Ultraspeed locate their servers in the US.
I once had a phone conversation with them - they were after a UK techie :)

I think when the time comes im going to go with rackshack.net, $99 p/m for 300gb bandwidth, its too good to turn down!
When asking the staff on the live chat questions they were very helpfull.

Hello
It depends what part of the market you are going for.
People in the UK buying cheaper plans will accept slower connection speeds.
Those paying more generally won't.

We provide hosting for the lower end of the market anyway so this shouldnt be a problem.
