superbservers.net (http://www.superbservers.net/)

Two unique options for very high traffic servers --

Option 1: $2645 - $2745 per month (depending on server hardware; for one server only) for an unlimited traffic 100 Mb/s port. Guaranteed 100 Mb/s throughput 24x7 (on a 2 Gb/s uplinked switch with less than 20 customer servers on it). Excellent value -- top quality hopone.net bandwidth for only $26.45/Mbps!

Option 2: $1575 per month for an unlimited traffic 100 Mb/s port shared with 1 or 2 other customers (2-3 customers per port total). This service is recommend for customers which have less than 30 Mb/s peak traffic and are looking for a more affordable solution and do not need full 100 Mb/s burst capacity (though the capacity is there, presuming the other(s) are not using it). Note, however, that throughput here is not guaranteed (though the other customers on it, too, are encouraged to have <30 Mb/s traffic), as it is a shared port. Note that this option is not featured on our site; to order it, you will need to contact us.

All new servers include 4 support credits - a $100 value, which do not expire - ever, and can be used at any time for support (each support credit equals to approximately 15 minutes).

In addition, managed/monthly support service is available for only $60/month (optional). It will add 4 non-expiring (do not expire at the end of the month) support credits to the "bank," which will accumulate up to a maximum of 12 such support credits. i.e. if you do not use support / managed services one month at all - or even for two, the next month you can use the previous month or previous two months worth, in addition to that months' services, as the service accumulates and the support credits do not expire.

We believe that this is one of the best low-cost managed/optional support services structures.

The superior hopone.net network spans many states (New York, Maryland, DC, Virginia, Illinois, and California) and major cities and thus has direct peering with most of the large ISPs/cable/DSL providers and major National and International networks/backbones (see above). This is a great advantage, as you will enjoy direct connectivity to these major networks and their customers (no intermediary transit networks), which means greater performance and lower latency. (Perfect for game servers and other performance-sensitive applications!)

Reference: Contact us for reference client contact details. We have some clients that can be contacted as a reference in regards to performance of our network for high-bandwidth, latency-sensitive, high-performance use, as well as our 100% uptime.

Superb Internet Corp., the parent company of Superb Servers, has been in business since June of 1996 and has won more awards than any other web hosting company -- ever. Come and find out for yourself why. You will find our network and total committment to customer satisfaction unsurpassed.

For the p4 2.4, can I get it with free setup if I don't want the 4 support credits?

We can give you up to 50% off setup. Use promo id: 101 on the order form to get 50% off the setup cost (WHT special promo id).

I see you have 750GB/mo bandwidth for P4 2.4 now, looks like its more afforable now.

May I know if I could buy the RAM for one time fee?

Where are your servers located in?

And who are the bandwidth providers for your 'value' traffic for the $79 servers?

They use hopone :D

http://nsssc.superb.net/information/corenet-info.php

Check them out, their network is rock solid ::)

If I'm not wrong, their value traffic is in DCA2. Tyson's Corner, McLean, Virginia

512MB RAM upgrade (to 1GB) is $0 setup (no one-time fee), just $15/month. It is actually better for the customer in most cases, as if you later upgrade/change to a new server with different type of RAM (e.g. dual CPU Xeon), you don't lose having bought the RAM on this one earlier.

That's right! It is. And all that UltraUnix said is also correct. :-)

The VALUE transit providers are all of the ones listed in the post above, under "Also, to answer the most frequently asked question, the bandwidth provided is top quality, connecting directly to all the following networks:". ALL of those - every single one - are used for value transit.

Feel free to try some test traceroutes for yourself to verify.

what does premium have on top of the value

hjass
11-12-2003, 03:13 PM
Premium has the premium transit providers that value does not use, such as Sprint, AT&T & GlobalCrossing (Cable & Wireless coming soon).

I.e. premium has all the value transit providers, all the peers, and also the premium transit providers. It is also an optimized on top of BGP route and always picks the best performing route.

Basically, our value transit is already equivalent to or superior to most others' premium (with around a 100 total BGP peers / transit providers - more than 20 time as many as most others!). Our premium transit takes it even further and is truly guarnateed to be the lowest possible latency and best possible route possible on the Internet by connecting to most of the Internet's top 5 global backbones directly (which also happen to be by far the most priciest ones).
