Hello friends
Does anyone know where to find software for setting up an affiliate business? The idea for me would be to earn a certain percentage each time a user downloads a file from one of my affiliates. I may host my affiliates’ files by offering them a paid hosting program, or I may ask them to host it by themselves. That ought to make no difference. My problem is I don’t know where to find software that will enable me to easily set up an affiliate business. Also, I would like the option of being able to charge a specified percentage if a user, rather than downloading, would like to receive an item in the mail, such as a CD-ROM, sent directly from one of my affiliates. Whether users prefer a download or a physical object, I must indemnify myself from the responsibility that must remain with my affiliates. I don’t want deal with complaints about things that never arrive, broken downloads, or the distribution of illegal items.
Thank you
Anders

You might want to try Ground Break

See if this will suit your needs. It's the one we use and have no complaints. :)

:wavey: Thanks, guys, for your suggestions, which I've considered. I use the word "affiliate" for lack of a better expression. If I can use regular affiliate software, it must at least be highly customizable.
Compared to ordinary affiliate programs, like the ones offered by, say, amazon.com, it's as if I'm both the affiliate and the mother-company. I want to act as an affiliate myself in so far as I earn a commission on the products that "my affiliates" (as I call them) sell directly to consumers from their own respective web sites. In a sense, I want to merely advertise these different products, i.e. I intend to create a community around products of a certain type. I am the mother-company, however, in so far as I am in charge of the "affiliate program."
I believe I could come a long way with affiliate software. I don't have much hard-core programming experience. Nevertheless, I am tempted to try to find out if maybe I could work out a solution for myself the hard way. If anyone has cool links to crash courses in writing affiliate software, please let me know.
Cheers
Anders
