Of course, it is important to keep in mind that while you can represent yourself in small claims court, if you file above a certain threshold amount (I think $5,000 - $10,000 in most states) - you will need to get a lawyer and you won't be able to file small claims court any more. Also the reason I ask is I am using PayPal and want to keep using it however if they ever "froze" my account I heard the only way they will work with you is if you file suit. So say they were holding $2,000 of my money for example what would it cost if i represented myself in court to file a suit (usually just filing the suit will be enough to get them to work with you) and where would I go to do this? Prepaid legal is a mechanism to pay a low monthly fee (Usually around $25-$75/month) and receive a set amount of legal services for free as well as a discount on additional services... |
