View Full Version : Search engine for every domain name that contains certain words?

I'm looking for a search engine (or program I guess) that will list every registered domain name that contains a certain word or words in any combination.

I've found a couple domain searches on the net that do something like this, but not completely.

So if I did a search for "sex" and "kitten" it would show me every currently registered domain that contains both of those words in any order. Like sexkittens.com sexinfrontofkittens.com kittensagainstsex.com etc etc etc

If I could set a total length limitation and other options, that would be nice too, but isn't completely necessary. If I could also exclude certain words that would be nice too.

Anybody got a link for me?

Thanks

Odd Question followed by an even more odd example!

Try the advanced search.

whois.net search engine does do that, but, as you mentioned, it's not all complete.

Yeah, I had found that but there aren't really any advanced search functions and it seems to stop after 2000 hits. I could live with stopping after 2000 hits, but inevitably you put in a word and you get a ton of domains that contain "0001" "0002" "1-500" "1234" etc

I want something like www.deleteddomains.com except for domains that are actually registered

Hmmm... all I can find there is a search for domains that aren't registered. Am I missing it somewhere on their page?

Advanced search were? Here on this board?

Duh! I just saw that you had put "google.com" in your subject line. I'll give that a shot.

[EDIT#2] Hmmmm... I'm at a loss as to how to make the advanced search do what I'm trying to do. Advice? [/EDIT#2]

There's no such functionality in google advanced search.

Advanced Search provides a number of useful options:

with all of the words
the exact phrase
with any of the words
without the words

...copied directly from their site.

Sure...

You didn't understand what he's after.

This fellow wants to search for registered domains.

No such thing in Google.

The app "Domain name Anylizer pro" has this feature. You can get it at www.softnik.com for $20, it has many other useful features. But using the keyword feature you said, it only lists the first 50 domains it finds, this is useful if you have an uncommon word to look up. if you use a word like "free", I dont think it will do you much good. This was really useful for me when i wanted to find domains that had the phrase "t2k" in the domain so i can try and sell my domains t2k.net to an interested buyer with a longer version of it in their domain, and it worked.

Thanks. If there is a way to filter out certain words (or numbers) then the 50 name limit probably won't be a problem. I'll check it out.

Ahhh... it searches with that option at the beginning.... I guess I didn't think my request would be so tough :) I mean, I looked around before I asked the question here, but I figured that someplace/some-prog would privide a domain name search with wildcard or boolean options. But perhaps not...

Thanks for the suggestions. If anybody finds something else, let me know. I'm going to go scope out the shareware world and see if I can find anything.

Hello, I just found exactly what you were looking for, www.namedroppers.com
Type in keywords and it will give you taken domains with the keywords inside. It also has an advanced search.
