Hey guys :)
I'm using Windows 98SE with IE5 here. A friend of mine is suggesting that I do the following to clear my cache and remove cookies:
Step 1: After disconnecting from the Internet, go to "Internet Options" in Control Panel and delete Temporary Internet Files, then clear History.
Step 2: Open the Windows folder and delete all cookies that remain in the Temporary Internet Files sub-folder.
Step 3: Still in the Windows folder, open the Cookies folder and delete any TXT cookie files in there, then open "index.dat" in Notepad and delete all the text except the "Client UrlCache MMF Ver 5.2" line, then save the file.
Step 4: Turn off the PC or reboot - opening IE without rebooting will cause errors. What do you guys think? Is there any point in doing this?
