Hi,

I use Fasthosts as an ISP and someone I need to correspond with uses Newnet as an ISP. All our emails to each other are being returned to the sender with the mention that our domain does not exist.

I have contacted Fasthosts to try to solve this issue and they informed me that 'it would appear that the receipient email address uses reverse DNS lookup to the senders server which is not supported by Fasthosts'. As I asked for further clarification from one of their support team I was told that Newnet's system probably wasn't configured properly so that it couldn't recognise emails from domain hosted on a virtual server.

Does anyone know if this is a common issue? Is it that certain ISP will not be able to accept email coming from a domain hosted on a virtual server?

Hoping that someone can enlighten me further.

What domain is it you are trying to send a email to?

My domain is www.chisuk.org.uk and the domain of the person I am trying to correspond to is www.oesassociates.co.uk
