The picture is as enclosed.

I have used it on the top of my site.

I really want to change the word MAMBOBUSINESS to my site name Free Internet News. I have tried to change it by myself but as I am not good at this, the finishing is not good.

Please help me to change and I shall be very appreciated.

Thanks.

The problem with changing the text in that, is that the background is not a solid color. And unless you have the .PSD (layered Photoshop file), it can't be changed. At least, it won't look smooth.

Do you own the rights to that photo?

It seems to me, that if you did own the rights to it, you'd have the .psd. Unless the image was ripped/stolen, then we can't/won't help you with that.

Exactly, unless he paid for it but the original author didnt give him permission to change (Hence; no psd...)

That image is from Mambo Templates http://www.mambotemplates.com/ The psd does indeed come with the free download. From what I could find, you may edit the template to fit your needs. However, I don't belive you can use the image for anything other than a site that uses Mambo.

I suggest contacting the author of the template to double check before you use his design inappropreatly.

yes it is from Mambo Templates and I am using this PNG file at my Mambo site. As it is for free download, I belive that we can make some changes to the picture.

You need the .psd file to make your own changes. The boys/girls at mambo have designed it this way so you are allowed to make changes. I have done it many times, and BTW love Mambo!

There are a few mambo templates that are released with the .psd for this very reason.

...and BTW I have made a sort of effort to write a Mambo tutorial for people who have never used it. If anyone is interested let me know. If there are enough I will do it here on WHT as well.
Ver 4.0.14 stable is my choice at the moment. V4.5 beta is very nice, but I would wait until it is stable before using in a production environment.

I like the 4.50 version very much and as they promised they will issue a new version very shortly.

They do have many templates but I like this template very much and it matches my site quite good. You can view my site at www.phpcn.uni.cc

just personally, i dont think that picture would be very hard to take out the text... if you are allowed to make the changes to the pictures, then i can do it, but i dont wanna touch it if no .psd has been provided because it is not allowed

I have got the PSD file from its developer and I can edit it by myselves. Thanks.
