I need advice on contacting a webhost to recieve my payment. I would rather not mention the name of the person or the company (unless I need to) because I know he posts here often and has a good reputation. But, I contacted this person through PM's here on WHT and he said to go ahead and send a check (since we can't pay with a CC) and the account would be setup once the check was recieved. He also gave me the address to send it to, which matched the one on the website.

I priority mailed the check on the 24th and the PO said no one was there to pick it up and they left a notice. Then a day later, it was marked as undeliverable and forwarded to another address and still hasn't been recieved. I emailed their customer support, PM'd the owner here on WHT, emailed him (twice now) and just posted a message on their forum; all of these with no response.

I havn't found a phone number on the website to call, but I will keep looking. I will also try faxing them to see if I can actually get a response. Any suggestions???

You better think abt another host; If they cant help you in this how can they in other mattters?

I have found the owner's home phone number (he lives all the way in Alaska). Should I call this number since no one at his domain will return an email and he's no where to be found?

I would stop payment on the check and find a different host.
Whether it's his fault or yours; it is a very distressing situation that you would want to avoid again.

If you are having a hard time getting them to accept your payment and set up your account. It may be a good sign to find another host. You would not want to wait or have to try this hard for a support matter.
