Hosting Toolbar

Offering an Internet Explorer toolbar for your hosting clients is a great way to give them quick and easy access to all your company's support pages, help desk, billing sytem, control panel, and more. Combine that with commonly used, convinient tools for a truely useful tool that will be used again and again. All your clients will have to do is download a small 1.5-2.0mb setup file, follow the on screen setup program, relaunch IE, and activate the tool bar.

We'll customize your company toolbar with your logo and company name, and let you choose the link button layout.

Toolbars will also include a search box where users can search any search engine of your choice, or your own website search system. Optional features include a popup blocker, babblefish translator, and IE history/cookie cleaner.

View a flash demonstration of the toolbar at http://www.360internet.com/toolbar/toolbar.html or download a demo toolbar at http://www.360internet.com/toolbar/setup.exe

Pricing is just $20.00 per toolbar created, with unlimited distribution rights. Payment is accepted via PayPal.

If you have any questions or would like to place an order, email sales@360internet.com (or post questions in this thread). Please include the URLs and information on how to layout the buttons and configure the search engine.

I can also be reached at:

AIM: Support360
MSN: support@360internet.com
Tel: 740-344-1772

Your toolbar setup file will be delivered within 24hours (Usually much sooner).

Wow, I once looked for at least 72 hours one week trying to find out how to do this. Great promotional tool. ;)

Thanks.

I've just finished updating the flash demonstration of the toolbar. It now uses an existing hosting website, so the example makes more sense.

FAQ:

Q: Are the popup blocker, babblefish translator, and IE history/cookie cleaner free options, or do they cost extra?

A: They are free, and completely optional. One, two, or all three can be used.
________

Q: Can my vBulletin forum be searched through the toolbar?

A: Yes, all we need is the URL to the forum (we can setup the rest)
________

Q: The sample toolbar shows a basic text image for the company name, can it be made to show my company logo with customized font for the name?

A: Yes, as long as your company logo can be minimized down to 17 pixels in height and still look ok. If you want to make your own logo image for the toolbar it needs to be 17 pixels high, and a gif or bmp. Transparent backgrounds are not currently supported.

I have just made an offer on a vbulletin forum and website so my company name may soon be changing. If I order now and include my current logo is it possible for me to change this if we are successful in purchasing the other website? In other words is the image embedded inside the .exe file or is it stores remotly?

Great Idea. This is an awsome tool!

Barry, it is embedded in the exe file. If all you need to change is the logo, I can do so for no charge if it's within 48hrs of your originial purchase, or for $5 afterwards.

Hi. Should a user want to uninstall the toolbar is it possible, and if so how? Thanks.

You can do this by right clicking the toolbar and unselecting its name from the list.

Thanks, but I mean "uninstall" rather than "not show" it. ;)

Charter, they can go to "Add or Remove programs" in the windows control panel. Then click uninstall. It's a quick and easy process.

everytime when we need to make a change you will have to charge extra fee?
Do we get the source, so we are able to make the logo change ourselves.

Yes, I would certainly like the source, or at least some type of configuration file that I can upload to my website and is called for updates every week or so.

Chris Marks

The source will not be provided, just the installer exe.

A .cfg file will be provided to place on your website if future changes are made, so users who have the old version of your toolbar will automatically download the update.

How hard is it to change the .cfg file? Would I be able to see a sample cfg file?

I'm not certain - I've never tried. It's visual Basic, and cannot be viewed in a plain text editor.

Would you mind if I took a look? You can email it to me at codyw@placidhost.com. You don't have to worry about me taking your source. I'm as honest as one can be. :)

Speaking from the end user point of view, this sure is an excellent product.

As we have seen hosting automation from the server end, this is something like automation for the end user for the webmasters.

Good luck with the product. I sure see a lots of potential ! :)

Cheers

Chris, I am interested in purchasing the toolbar but I want to ensure the installation doesn't place any spyware or similar user tracking scripts on the hard drive.

tandem - since u will actually be paying for the product, i really doubt, if the toolbar comes with any spyware ? I think, the product can make money with that spyware thingy.
