I thought this might be interesting to some web hosting companies that are out there.

A site that I am advising on ( snehaquest.com ) targets the Indian community. Are thier any web hosting companies that deal with that sector (I found none ).

If so, I can negociate a refferal program.

FYI - India has a non-free trading currency and it is difficult to get a CC company that deals with Rupee's ( My clients have a store front in India but they still have tons of problems with Indian CC's )

What exactly are you looking for? An online payment option where our countrymen can pay thru an Indian/International credit card?

Indians are too conservative to swipe their CC's on the net. (My wife doesn't even allow me to use it while realtime shopping!:). I think it has somethingto do with our mindset that being in debt is a social sin or something..

I will be starting a web-hosting co-specifically targeting Indian small businesses next month. If there is any way I can help let me know

I dont think that any company would try to market to just one nationality...espcially a company that provides web hosting.

The only thing that I can think of is an India based company, even then, in any business model, you really want to reach as many customers as you can, espcially international companies.

As far as the credit card processor goes...PayPal accepts India merchants...you can process Visa/Mastercard, Checks, Wire, and much more through Paypal...the website is www.paypal.com

Hi Jim, those merchants accounts are for USA dollar accounts only, not rupee convertable accounts. My client advised me of this. Otherwise they would have jumped on paypals terms for Indian accounts, faster than greased lightning.

but on the other note:

But mostly what we want to do is place 1 or 2 hosting companies that are willing to pay for clicks and or cpm. since we only target the Indian Dating scene, I get's the more $ type male with a degree of some sort ( phd, masters ).

I'm thinking very seriously about being a reseller and talking to one of the programmers to make an Indian cultured and or staffed hosting service.
