I would probably go with my #1 most hated company... Verio =X

They are the biggest but I think they probably have the worst customer support.... well I change that... I think they have the worst customer support out of the reputable hosting companies =)

:D The idea that among the tens of thousands of hosting companies in the world, there is one that might be identified as having the "best solutions" is really kind of silly. That one might be able to identified as being the cheapest also seems silly, but at least that word has a definable meaning. What would "best solutions" even mean?

Verio doesnt seem to be a little man's company; They might want to concentrate on advanced services rather than on virtual hosting.

May be they have lot of other things to do than replying to a support email sent by a virtual hosting user...:D

Anyway I put my money on VO & Aletia; Opps tera-byte shd be there as well.

Did we forget donhost???

"May be they have lot of other things to do than replying to a support email "
so let thenm be busy with that - I wont go for one which finds something more important than support.

***** - offers unlimited bandwidth !- much has been said on this topic

no doubt best is as nirmani says
http://obsoletehosting.com
great find ! :D - morever its free !!

 ummm...nirmani also seems tohave good offers
though some spell errors in the descriptive pages and portfolio link gives error - price-bandwidth seems justified and al the standard features ( but how long they have been ?)

Aloha

doesnt Sprint offer hosting ???
they would be large as they also own a lot of pipes ???

guess the question is who is # 1 for :
# of clients
# service
# support
# uptime
# price (not cheapest but best bang for buck)

just some other thoughts ;)

No such thing.

There is: Best company at the moment, but it changes all the time, you need a good reliable company which has been around for a while... but best company in the world? everyone got their ups and downs....

Good luck

What about exodus, sprint, AT&T, UUNET, YIPES, Level3. Do they provide all solutions?

Yes they all do but what do you need? They all offer somewhat differnt but yet similar solutions. I would contact them if you are interested in there services.

Good lord, it's been a while..

And why did I choose this username..

Anyway, those companies *do* offer hosting services, and you'd be suprised - while most of them like to promote their high end services, their actual service roster is quite wide. You can usually get anything from $19.95 virtual hosting to enterprise-class solutions with load balancing etc etc etc.
