How much do you pay your tech support staff per hour? Have you ever hired a person for support over the net? How do you work out the taxes?
I can see the need for me to hire an as needed tech support person (for when Im dead sick like now) I was wondering how you all pick a staff member, pay them, and handle the taxes :)
Thanks:)

WHere i work they pay us on contract work so we have to handle the taxes that is some what good for some companys but i would rather have taxes taken out...it just depends on you and how you wish or dont wish to handle it....:cartman:

If you hire someone to work on a contractor basis, than it's a business-to-business transaction. The individual is then responsible for any taxes.

Their is a computer tech person living close to me that is in college studing Computer Sciense.
I pay him $2.25 a support ticket. He seems to like it and gets to surf while waiting for a ticket to come in...

Well Chicken you must remember we are only 6 months old at the moment and don't have to support tickets coming in as fast as a company that is like 2 years old.
But we are growing. The boy does about 4 or 5 tickets and hour when he works...

I can't believe I read a two-year-old post ... again!
This has happened to me twice now. I always never realize it until someone posts something about it.
2 year old post?
LOL! Thanks for notifying me of that, I was going to reply with my comments...
