Let's see.... $103.60....... $12.95..... About an 800% profit! Bravo!

Hmmm..... What if I put bloodyhopeless.com or bum.cx up for sale on eBay? Wonder what I'd get! :D

I've never done auctions at eBay before - can I, like, withdraw domain names if I find prices aren't to my liking a few days before close or something like that? If I can, then I'll definitely put it up on eBay or sold.com.au (since bloodyhopeless.com might strike a chord with Aussies slightly more than Americans).... I might leave bum.cx alone since the registry fees are rocketing up the next time I renew them.... Then again maybe I should just be nasty and not tell them! ROFLMAO

I should also add : you've got the incentive of free hosting thrown in... I don't. ;) Don't know how much that would affect it.

You can always set a reserve price. If the final price is lower than the reserve price, you can elect not to sell. :)

I think you should try putting it up.. only cost you 50 cents :)

Then I will, probably over the weekend and give it a week to expire next Friday... When the most ppl are online ;)

Thanks for the tips :) I've already got a reserve price in mind.......

No, I don't mind sharing at all. In fact, it may allow someone visiting this forum an opportunity to grab the name off me before I put it on eBay, if they're truly interested :D (in which case, feel free to use the 'mail' function on this forum to mail me).

I have two alternate plans of action :

1. Settle for a reserve price between $100 and $200, effectively ensuring an 800%-1600% return on profit at least.

2. Be a bit more patient and set an ambitious reserve price like $500-700 then see what the top bid I get is before the time period closes to gauge interest (so in effect, a dummy auction?), then re-post with an appropriate reserve price.
(edit) : well, that is, either accept the highest bid on offer or re-post the bid somewhere else.(/edit)

Those are my two plans - I'm leaning towards the latter at the moment, and will probably go ahead with that.

P.S. In case anyone's wondering why I'm sticking around on this forum today for so long, it's because it's nearly 11 p.m. where I am and have an urgent essay worth 40% of a subject mark to do as much as possible, so I'm multi-tasking tonight ;)

Dynasty, would it actually cost you some $ to transfer this domain name to the new buyer? If so, how much would it cost you?

Am wondering if anybody here has had earlier experience transferring domain names via Register.com?

Also, how many $ do you think this domain name is worth, guys?

enstitute.com - for an education portal on the NET !!!

Learner, I think it would be valuable if you directly pitched it to institutions or 'online' educational portals. It's a bit hard to comment, but I can see it being of value.
