Hello guys!

I was wondering how you found out about webhostingtalk. It must be word of mouth for me because I just remember knowing it, lol. Anyway it would be cool to know how you came to this place, I have only been here a few days and it seems a brilliant archive for webhosts and customers alike.

I think i got here over http://www.hosthideout.com/ ...but then again i don't know i got there. :D

I could nearly swear it was through HostSearch.
Maybe not though. Could have been something that came up on Copernic Pro when I was looking for a host.
Now I'm trapped here and can't get out:eek:

I had found it through a reference on another forum, probably Sitepoint.

Just doing my part :) lol. It seems allot of people try to increase post accounts but I have to say that people with a smaller number of posts, say 200 - 350 have more content and thought out posts then some with thousands.

Not all people are under this rule, chicken seems to be the biggest influence but his posts are thought out and yet he has 5000 + How does he do it? Is he a super power, lol.

I have to say that chickens moderating skills are rubbing off on me, a message board I have is going a bit wiled and I my self will be enforcing some rules.

Back to how I found this webhostingtalk, I think its word of mouth personally. But its cool to see how people found this place :) :) :)

I believe it was the hostsearch forums for me as well :)

Remember last winter when everyone was upset about Alabanza raising their prices? VDI told us about Web Hosting Talk, as VDI was a hot topic among WHT members at the time.

I somehow got here. I don't know how.

Back in my days of being a great webdesigner!! hehehe. I was hanging around on a forum for a template site. Everyone was like...look at my template...and I was like wow, that looks very original :D and then someone made post about this board and i jumped that one and came here!! I'm glad I did :D

I found out about it when my host www.aletia.net had a specail i signed up for.. the WHT special in june =)

when i am looking for a particular site, i think to myself, if i wanted to build a site like that, what would I call it? and then i just type a few url's and see what i come up with. thats how i found WHT.

search engines are for wimps.

i came to webhostingtalk during the scary truehosting scandal. Annette from hostingmatters.com had emailed the company i work for on december 22, 1999 about truehosting, but there isn't a link to webhostingtalk in that email *looking at it now*, so i think maybe i got here from a link at her truehosting follies (http://www.technogirl.net/99tales/weasel.htm) page? too tired to look at that page now, but almost positive i got here because of her warnings. so for me, it was word of mouth. :)

Some of you who can't remember might have come through here from following a link from hostinvestigator (not up now). In trying to think how I came across this site, I am almost sure it was through H.I., though it was so long ago, I'm having trouble recalling...

I believe I asked a question once.. where were the best forums for web design.. this was 1 of 3..

I always lurked until I found a reason to post..

Search engine or maybe another forum in what seem's like a lifetime ago :)

I am not alone. Oh well, we know It now so that's what matters.

Maybe as soon as you become a host, or interested in hosts you know it, lol.
