Dear Duval,

I would stay with them, sometimes things happen that cannot be prevented. Give them another chance.

There had been a network issue since yesterday morning which some may had experienced since the sites became very sluggish. Late last night all our services went down and we are currently looking into why/how this could happen.

I've been told that everything will be back up tonight. Since I don't like sitting on my hands waiting for others, I've taken the opportunity to add custom error pages and make a few back office updates to everyones accounts. I'll post more once the services are available again.

Before the end of the year we will be moving to a new datacenter that we feel can offer ourselves are all our members a much better service and infrastructure.

A huge apology to all our members. As soon as we have more information we will send another mail out.

If you have not recieved any mails please mail mark.hall@ukonline.co.uk and we will ensure that you are included on all service announcements.

This is getting a bit annoying... to say the least...
I cannot have a homepage that exist some days, and some days not... it is terrible...

Why are the sites STILL not working??? How long does these things take? No other hosting company that I have used had their sites down for a few days??? An hour or two sometimes, ok, but NEVER EVER one whole day or more...

Here an idea, why not stop complaining about it and contact them and ask them when it will be resolved etc. Complaining about it does not do much.

I have repeatedly tried to e-mail them. It is not easy to contact people through e-mail when even their domain is not working...

This is actually the ONLY way I know that it is possible to contact them through...

You may PM Adam_S here, but will not be able to discuss support issues directly.

Got this today:
-----------------------------------------------

Dear Member,

The new parts for the server had to be sent over from Ireland. I've have had
word that the engineers will fit these to the server from 5pm today. I'm
awaiting confirmation of the server's status.

If the engineers are successful in fitting the new parts, I will expect the
server to be back up before tomorrow morning. Since the server cannot be started
we are unable to determine the full extent of the damage yet. I will of course
keep everyone up to date in due course.

Since we are unable to get to your mails at present, please send any urgent mail
to mark.hall@ukonline.co.uk. We are also available on AOL Instant Messenger
under the names "mhall2x" and "SimplyMajic".

Many apologies,

Adam Saunders

I got this one this morning

Dear Member,

A second attempt on the hardware fix had to be taken today after last night the engineer could not resolve the server from over heating. This fix has been successful and the server is back online.

Before I switch everyone's accounts on, I'm going to give the server a full stress test and check all the accounts to ensure that all the errors have been resolved.

As soon as everyone's sites and mail are back up again I will send another mail out to announce this.

We cannot apologise enough for all the problems that have come up this week. It has prompted us to rethink the structure of our services and to start plans to reinvest in to a brand new infrastructure. We are going to take our first step to move the server to a new datacenter as soon as possible to provide better support that is prompt all day and night.

Kind regards,

Adam Saunders
