NE-Andy 11-02-2003, 05:44 PM Hi everyone,
LinuxAdmin and myself are meeting up on Tuesday, November 4th, 2003 in downtown Vancouver. We are meeting 1PM at the Starbucks cafe on Robson street and Thurlow. If you are in the area (or not too far out of way), please feel free to post here so we can be expecting you ^.^
Regards,
Andy Huang
PS: This is just a casual get to gether, there's not going to be day-long activities planned out as I still have another class to attend to at around 4:00 back here in Surrery.
Thread title says 2004 ;)
NE-Andy 11-02-2003, 05:54 PM Oops, my bad, it should be "November 4th" instead of 04... Hehehe, sorry :) Can a moderator please edit it? I can only edit my own thread's title, not the main thread's title.
VanHost 11-02-2003, 08:27 PM Any chance of future get-togethers? I would be interested, however, am unable to make it on that time/date.
Thanks.
Serious Sam 11-02-2003, 08:30 PM I'd prefer a meeting at another Starbucks, but guess you can't change that +(
NE-Andy 11-02-2003, 08:35 PM Hi there,
Where would you like to meet? We only chosed that location because it was easy for both LinuxAdmin and myself. If you can name a location that we can all work with, we can move it :)
VanHost 11-02-2003, 08:38 PM Do you people like sushi? We could go for some all-we-can-eat sushi if you do. Location isn't the problem for me, time is. If you met on a weekend or an evening (anytime after 5pm) I could make it.

Downtown is the easiest for everyone im guessing as all means of tranportation and services are there.
Why dont we plan what were gonna do for tuesday. I dont care what we do, so im game
VanHost 11-02-2003, 09:11 PM I'm game for most things, just not on Tuesday. Let me know if the date changes or if you plan another "gathering of the minds"
NE-Andy 11-02-2003, 09:15 PM That sounds interesting; but I can only be around til around 3 (then I have to rush back to school). Even if I skip that last block of calculus, I'd still have to head back by around 4 (given that it'd take me 1 hour to get back to Surrey and my folks would be picking me up from school. Yes, lame as it may sound, I'm not a big fan on getting home by myself on a bus at late hours; especially through the worst part of town...

Whens convenient for you ? tuesday is not dead lock and we could certainly change this, the bigger the get together the better.

Wednsdays fine. Where should we meet downtown ?
im thinking Robson or Pender
VanHost 11-02-2003, 10:05 PM Wednesday it is...who's up for something to eat? That's about the time I start my feeding frenzy :) As for meeting zone, doesn't matter to me...although, I think we should inform people of either phone numbers or distinguishing appearances in order to seek each other out
