Hi,
After reading this forum for a short while, I am really interested in setting up a web hosting company like all of you guys/girls out there.
I know most of you would suggest Linux platform, but I am really interested in Windows 2003 instead. However, I know there are lots of excellent packages available for the Linux platform such as oscommerce, Post Nuke, PHP Forum, Invision, PHP Support Tickets, etc.
The 3 main questions I need HELP are:
1. Are there similar packages in the Windows 2003 Reseller worlds (together with something similar to Fantastico for ease of setup)???
2. I am looking for a good quality provider who can provide me with some features like:
~ 1GB disk space
~ 15 domains
~ unlimited sub-domains
~ private nameservers (so at least 2 IP address?)
~ shared SSL
~ Windows 2003 (at least web edition)
~ .NET / ASP / PHP supports
~ SQL Server 2000 / MySQL supports
Bonus:
~ Payment Gateway
~ Ticket Support System
~ any necessary features you can suggest??
3. I may help my friend to host his modeling site (as he is a photographer), so nude pictures might be hosted in a site (but they are not porno in a sense). And I might setup discussion board talking about naughty nightlife (adult topics which is informational rather than XXX), so adult centent must be allowed!
Can anyone give me any suggestions for a high reputation Windows 2003 Reseller??? By the way, I am in Melbourne Australia, so hopefully the connection will be reasonable fast with the server. Support is very important ....
