how do i transfer my files from 1 host to another using cpanel ? do i use SSH? what are the steps?

is this the command for it ?
scp -r root@sourceIP:/directorythatiwant to transfer ???

Your cpanel should have download a full backup which you can then upload to your new host. If your new host is the root, they can do a whm transfer.

Checklist for you to answer
1. What's the OS on the new and old system?

2. What's the Control Panel on the new and old system?

3. Do you have access to SSH on the new and old system?

4. Do you have root access on the old and new system?
