Hello there,

I hope some of you linux gurus can help me here.

A few months ago I installed redhat linux on my machine to dual boot with winXP, now I dont want to use the linux anymore and want to restore the disk space so I can use it.

at the moment, in my windows explorer, the partition that linux was installed on is not listed, so I cannot format/delete it through windows, so is there anyway I can safely remove linux from that partition and restore the space so I can use it on windows?

Thanks in advance

Try going to control panel > administrative tools > Computer Management. Should be in 'Disk Management'.

Try googling (http://www.google.com.sg/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=uninstall+on+dual+boot+system+linux&meta=) it up first. :)

If you are using grub or lilo to dual boot, you will first want to replace the MBR with a Windows MBR. Then you can go into computer management and delete the Linux partition and then set it back up as NTFS or whatever.

THanks for the responses guys :)

I tried N9ne's method, I first deleted the logical drive, then recreate it, then format it. works perfectly.

Thanks again.
