Now i am running my own server (Linux Redhat 9.0 with cpanel), I will need to keep up to date with security patches etc. I need to apply. Does anybody have any useful advice as to where I can start learning about this administration.
Thanks,
Larry

cPanel was a good choice. It provides you with almost everything you need to keep your system up to date with the latest security patches right through the control panel. up2date, cPanel updates, apache upgrades, security bulletins are all merely 1 or 2 clicks away in WebHost Manager. The challenge is keeping your user's CGI and PHP scripts secure as well as any 3rd party software you install.

You may consider the kernel and bugtraq mailing lists.
