I don't know exactly what they do, but they make themselves look stupid.
I just got spammed bt http://www.researchandmotion.com
Research And Motion
oddly close name to a company founded in 1984
http://www.researchinmotion.com
Research In Motion also www.rim.com / blackberry.com
R&M spells "research" wrong on their homepage, check out the horribly cut commission "badge" in the lower left corner as well.
Also riddled with other typos and errors...contact page has no email address.
what makes it funnier is that I got this spam...did I mention I work @ RIM? lol coincidence?

Contact your company's lawyers. They may be able to sue R&M for trademark infringement or what-have-you.
It's definitely worth a shot.

Research in motion
Research and motion
Two different marks for different products. However, the first one is a registered trademark. The second is not. Let the lawyers decide :D

I have an off topic question.
If you got a job with Research In Motion (www.rim.com)
would it be considered a rim job?:D

We bought them through Nextel.
a) PTT button is not very ergonomic.
b) You have to hit it twice [usually] to get it to work.
c) The software that powers this thing is horrible.
d) No external speaker [I did hear that this was added later.]
e) Random reboots and lock-ups, and it got worse after loading the newest software ... several times, I have had to pull the battery just to get it to come back on.
f) Webmail system is a pain in the ass and does not support Mozilla/Opera.
The other problems are Nextel.
a) Signal quality is horrible. They've been telling us they will be putting in another tower in this area ... FOR TWO YEARS NOW.
b) Their technical support knows absolutely nothing regarding these phones. Most of the time we call, they just say "Wow ... I really don't know what to tell you." ... The best one was:
"Nevermind, I fixed it."
Nextel: "Oh, great! What did you do?"
I could go on and on about these things + Nextel.
No one here can stand the Blackberry ... and we have ~10 between our employees. *slaps pokerstore*
