What do you think of GoDaddy's new interface? Personally, I find it much nicer and easier to navigate.

Not a user of godaddy, so i guess you can tell my answer ;)

I still can't get over how good namecheap's interface is.
I have been a user of joker, opensrs & enom and have never seen a better interface than namecheap.

Might try out godaddy some day soon for a backorder.

Ahh.. we are talking about the management interface.. I spent about 15 minutes trying to understand what has changed.. their main website I mean.

Yeah, it's much easier to browse the page.

It has added another layer of clicks to get where you need to go, also I tried 8 hours ago to change an A record and it has not updated the registry yet.

Enom is the best I have used, I haven't tried namecheap.

Hmm? NameCheap is a reseller of eNom! But they write their own backend instead of using canned scripts like other eNom resellers here.

As for GoDaddy: "looks" don't kill, backend does.

I agree. It looks nicer and I find it easier to manage this way. Except I cannot get domains to transfer properly.

They are the absolute worst when to comes to a transfer! It took me 8 days 2 phone calls, 6 emails and 1 fax to transfer a single domain name.

I would never use them for anything again, ever....

So I guess you can tell what my opinion of their interface is.....:D

as for me, the design is new and looks good. Little confusing for the first time but nothing much. By the way, do you guys have any problem about unlocked your domain ? Mine took too much time :(

Update: After 10 hours the A record had not updated the registry, I called support and was told it took 24 - 48 hours for an A record update (averages about 20 minutes at enom). 24 hours still no change so I have resorted to using my hosts nameservers to see if that will work.

I had been using godaddy DNS since they made it included with the service free a few weeks ago, I never did get email forwarding to work, it just kept saying "resolving host".

most of the domains I have at GoDaddy are from drops. But I use my own nameservers for all my domains, so I cannot complain. I have had no trouble with them being able to register my domain and point it.

I likes the other one. This one is worse.

The only feature I find handy is the ability to show all your domains in a single list.

It might be me but every time I do something at Godaddy's, I go around in circles several times before finally finding how to do it.

For instance, the forwarding. There's email and/or domain forwarding. They don't make it clear how to manage one or the other. I wish they would just print: email forwarding and domain forwarding. On top of that, you have to go buy email forwarding credits. Another stumbling block.

Maybe what they need to do is bring in someone who's never worked with the interface before and see what problems they run into and try to remedy the interface.

I have had nothing but problems with that new interface. I could not make IP changes to my NS1 and NS2. I made 4 phone calls and sent emails to tech support and they finally sent me an email with a link to their old interface. Well I did not use the link but went to godaddy via my browser. When i logged-on their interface was back to the old design. I had issues with the graphical buttons not displaying and their system not accepting my changes. I was going to register another domain with them but went with namecheap instead. What a nice simple interface to use, godaddy should pay attention to the way this site is designed! Oh and by the way the info and changes I made at namecheap actually worked unlike at godaddy. I'm not recommending godaddy to anyone and will transfer my old domain to namecheap once 60 day initial period has expired.

I've not had any issues transferring names with them. Just transferred two today, one in, one out. Took all of a few minutes each.
