Hello, me an a friend of mine are intrested in co-locating and are debating over where to go and wether to lease a server or buy one. We want in include domain hosting with whatever else we do with the server, but being two teens, we are low on cash, therefore limiting control panel options whihc to me, is a must have. I have noticed most places that lease servers offer a control panel at no aditional charge, are these good things to go after? I also need some good, reliable yet still not to expensive co-location that offers this? I need a few places to look at. I was looking at www.efreeservers.com but 200 gigs is a little much for starting up. Please help.

Thanx
-Nick

Hi Guys,

You are going to have a problem getting someone to lease you anything if you are under 18. You will have to get your parents to co-sign at the very least.

What are you planning on doing with your server. Maybe a solution in your price range is available in a different server format.

We are using it for webhosting, run an IRCd or two and possiably a server for a peer to peer file sharing program, and whatever else may pop into our heads.

Then you'll definitely need your own server.

You wont find much love in shared platforms if you want to run IRC.

How many hosts verify there age? As long as they have a cc they almost always take them.
