I looked at Hive mail and I Really Really Really like it, but can't bring myself to shell out $180 for it....

do a search for buying a used hivemail licence, they had a huge sale in april selling licences for around 25 bucks.. alot of people picked up a bunch of licences and will sell for around 60..

i picked up an upsupported about 4 months ago for 60 bucks.

Your saying 3 of the best opensource webmail scripts dont cut it, and at the same time your not willing to spend anything to improve on them - I doubt anyone can help you.
