How does one install control panel themes?

All the theme files are located in a directory somewhere where cpanel is installed..I can't remember the exact directory.

To create a new theme, just copy a directory that is already there (like iconic) and call it newtheme (or whatever..). Next just download those files, edit them, and re-upload :)

You have to make your own theme.
I tried to make a spanish theme, there are TONS files to edit and plus the words are hard to translate.

If you are just looking to edit a graphic then the default cpanel theme is located at /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/default

All the html files and images are there.

Good luck. :D

At one time I looked into making a theme for cpanel, then I saw the 5,000 files I'd have to edit (ok, not quite that many...). Someone said they were (I *think* it was...) Dreamweaver files and if you used that the whole process would go a bit faster.

Ended up not getting the server, nor trying it, but maybe it will help ya'. See if you can find out if I was correct on the Dreamweaver thing, or find out what program was used to create the default ones, etc...

They were .dwt files or dreamweaver template files. According to Carlos, these aren't available :(

If you are trying to give a new look to cpanel then it wil take some time.
They are all .html files.

Thanks all.

Sounds like I have my hands full. I'm off to work.
