Hi everyone,
I lost connectivity with WHL around 1:30 a.m. American EST last night - did anyone else have trouble?
Matt, you able to shed any light? I could have sworn it was either an Apache problem or even a DOS attack (God forbid) from the looks of it...

Yeup, I sure did, Alabanza seems to have occasional blackouts once in a while, dunno why or what for and not even sure if this was a blackout or not.

I'll answer this one, since it affected more than WHL:
No attacks, nothing sinister, and most likely nothing to do with Alabanza connectivity (although I did get two problem notices from my monitoring indicating no route available). The problem appears to be the result of a runaway mySQL process. We have increased the number of available connections to try to head off that type of problem.
Ahhhhhh. I couldn't work out whether it was Alabanza or not, since I tested out about 5 other Alabanza sites (yours included Annette) and they were quite fine and dandy. So I was pretty sure it was a site-related problem, but it's always hard to tell.
Thanks Annette.

BC,
same here (and about the same time). The sites were all running well, but the backend seemed sluggish. Had a bit of trouble grabbing my mail off the server, though akashik.net was still coming in a-ok. All credit to Annette however, the problem was fixed by the next time I checked for mail. My last host usually had a 6-12 hour turn around for problems like that :)
