View Full Version : CGI Server Path (again!!)

Hi,

I know I asked a similar question a few days back but am still getting problems with some of my resold accounts.

I am with donhost and the customer is trying to install Ikonboard 3.

During the install it asks for the CGI server Path and the non CGI server path and it suggests..

/home/www/public_html/ikonboard/ib3 (for the CGI)

and

/home/www/public_html/ikonboard/ib3/iB_html (for the non CGI)

Anyone got any ideas, or any ideas how I can find out? I have asked donhost before and they dont seem to be able to help.

Thanks.

I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm going to pretend!!

For CGI, the cgi-bin should be in either one of 2 places (since I have no idea!! :D )

/home/www/public_html/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ib3

or

/home/www/public_html/ikonboard/cgi-bin/ib3

but again, i really have no idea.

while i was at donhost, the path to my cgi-bin was /home/u/n/unpuppet/public_html/cgi-bin

if yr domain was say, lovelie.com (:D), the path would be /home/l/o/lovelie/public_html/cgi-bin

if yr customer has a directory in his cgi-bin called ikonboard, then his path would be /home/c/u/customer/public_html/cgi-bin/ikonboard

where "/customer" is his domain without the extension, "/u" is the second character in the domain name & "/c" is the first.
