I'm thinking about using CPanel, and installing a fresh install of Apache.


First of all what can I do with CPanel? Can I create virtual domains and ftp accounts for those domains. Can I use it to configure what features those virtual domains will have?


I tried to see product information, on cpanel.net, but thier site is horrible. Absolutely no information about the product at all.

Also is CPanel a free product?

I would try Plesk but it's way too expensive.

CPanel is not free. I think it costs $100 a month if you don't use it inside one of their supported data center.

Another thing to keep in mind, CPanel.net doesn't distribute it. Burst.net, and a few others, do. You might want to contact them.
