I know Weinbar has had its ups and downs lately. But we've been pretty satisfied with them until recently.
We've resold about two dozen domains there and, for the most part, it has been trouble free. (Access to our domains stopped for a few days about a month ago because of "router trouble.")But now it is impossible for us to add any new domains. The 'add' procedure seems to go through properly, saying that the order has been placed and the payment approved. But that's the end of it. The domain isn't added. Something is broken.
We submitted a trouble ticket, which languishes with no reply. We have to resort to posting about the trouble on their forum to get any response at all.
The forum response we get from Jack Holden is friendly and seemingly cooperative. But still, nothing gets done. According to Jack, Weinbar's servers aren't their own in a co-lo but, rather, are Alabanza's which are leased to Weinbar. Apparently, this nuance means that Weinbar has no access to these leased servers. If something in the software is broken, Weinbar has no ability to correct it. Instead, they have to rely on Alabanza to correct it, and, according to Jack, "All of our requests to them have gone unanswered."
So here we sit, with one pissed off customer wondering what the problem is, and hoping nothing goes wrong with the other two dozen domains hosted there. All this while Alabanza is probably off on a vacation until Tuesday. Heck, I was going to get away too until this happened.
Well, I guess that's all I have to say.
