View Full Version : Enom's pricing
Bannaz 10-23-2003, 05:11 PM Hi there, after much consideration I want an account with Enom (reseller) for my own use. Rather than using NameCheap. As I understand they are actually a reseller of Enom.
However, I've just checked the pricing: https://www.enom.com/pricing.asp
& they are REALLY expensive!! I was only moving to my own reseller to get even cheaper prices than what NameCheap offer.
Help? ;)
4solutions 10-23-2003, 05:27 PM NameCheap IS an enom reseller. The prices you are looking at on enom are the RETAIL prices. eNom is primarily a wholesaler of domain names and they have that $29.95 retail price to protect their resellers who buy at WHOLESALE prices.
eNom offers resellers accounts for $8.95, $7.95 and $6.95. Last I checked (about six months ago - so take this with some caution), to get $8.95 pricing, you had to deposit (fund your account) with$495.00. For $7.95 pricing, you had to deposit $3,975.00 and for $6.95 pricing, you had to deposit $6,950.00.
There are alternatives. Here on WHT, you can get a "free" $8.95 reseller sub-account from people like zoli. I believe you still have to deposit a $100.00 with enom, though. Or you can get a "free" $7.95 account as a bonus, if you buy www.DramSystem.com which is an automated program/website for selling domain names (still think you have to fund it with that $100.00 deposit.
Or sometimes, zoli and others put up grandfathered $6.95 enom accounts up for sale and they go for $350 - $400.00 right now. (On top of that you have to put in that $100 deposit, too). These grandfathered accounts were created before enom changed their policy about a year ago. Before that, if you were an enom reseller, selling at $6.95, then you could make other reseller account also for $6.95. But now, no reseller can create a "sub-reseller account" for less than the selling price of $8.95.
Hope I explained that correctly. eNom sounds complicated, but it's not... right now it's probably your best bet - especially if you're used to NameCheap (althought the control panels are different).
Good Luck!

It's the same. ETP is the way eNom calls their reseller accounts ;)

It's at the main (home) page ;)
Anyway here's is the link: http://www.enom.com/resellers/
You must contact them directly at sales@enom.com to ask for the reseller (ETP) account.
You have to signup for a free account first, and once you sign some documents, your account will be converted into "reseller" status.
You always have to fill your reseller account with a minimum $100 deposit.

kohashi 10-25-2003, 02:17 AM you can get cheap retail accounts from enom. They use credit cards on a pay as you go basis and are cheaper than namecheap in many cases.

scenes, I hope you have USD 75.00 , if yes, then you can become a reseller of *******.com and get domains at USD 6.99
Thats the best deal out there, i doubt any registrar starts you at
USD 6.99 , the pricing can go as low as USD 6.49
Check them out :D
Thats my 2 cents
NB: 4solutions even though you talk too much... most of it does make sense unline many of the other user
kohashi 10-25-2003, 03:22 AM price is not everything. If the company you are referring to were truely a great deal and had everything resellers need..... this thread would be about them to start with.
