There is a domain that I am quite interested in purchasing but I cannot seem to do it. When I try to purchase it says that the domain is already registered but when I do a whois lookup the domain does not appear to exist. Does this mean it's in the expired queue or something? I have not seen anything like this before. How can I determine when I will be able to register it?

I don't think it's a very amazing domain so I am not going to put a snap on it and would just like to register as soon as it's available. Thanks for your help. :)

Hard to say what's going on without seeing the whois and the domain name... you might try some third party checkers like: http://freewho.com/checker/index.php and www.whois.sc to see if the name appears available there. Also, you might try different registrars and check www.internic.net/whois.html
