View Full Version : domain name reseller..?
ZuRrOn 10-23-2003, 08:31 AM hey,
we will hopefully be registering a few domain names in the near future, and was wondering if anyone can offer a domain name reseller? where we host the page that you search for available domain names, signup for the domain and we take a commission of the sale?
pls reply with any details/suggestions you may have..
thanx,
-ZuRrOn
bandari 10-23-2003, 08:40 AM You can try enom or get your self a free $8.95 enom reseller account from webdomania.net.
Or you if you want the complete package again with an enom reseller try getting a DRAMS licence it comes with a $7.95 enom reseller account included. Chek out http://www.dramsystem.com
ZuRrOn 10-23-2003, 08:45 AM ok, thanx mate.. i will have a look into that one.. just a little confused about the "free $8.95" thing.. :S
ZuRrOn 10-23-2003, 08:48 AM btw, that dramsystem link doesnt work, but im sure i will find it somewhere.. the webdomaina is looking good so far
bandari 10-23-2003, 08:50 AM What it is a lot of people have a $6.95 and $7.95 enom account and they create $8.95 sub reseller account. There is no difference between services offered on these accounts and that from enom directly(you have to pay a $495 deposit for them). They get the comission between their price and the $8.95 offered to you.
The reason we call it free is that other people have accounts from before enom changed their policy not to allow resellers create less than $8.95 accounts and they are being sold aroun $25-50 for $7.95 and $200-450 for $6.95.

bandari 10-23-2003, 08:52 AM The link works for me. Try copy and pasting it in your browser
Domain-Chat 10-23-2003, 09:28 AM Buy a $6.95 from someone and use Enom PDQ
jacksparrow 10-23-2003, 12:06 PM well i am a *******.com reseller, i get domain from them at $6.49, since i am at that slab.
the slab starts @ $ 6.99, check them or rather check all and decide on the one which best suits your requirements.
I have insider news that they have something very nice coming for the reseller community by the start of the next month.
I am waiting for it.
:D
ZuRrOn 10-23-2003, 08:55 PM umm jacksparrow? does ur link contain some explicit language? cos all i see is *******.com... and it may take me a while to guess all the possible conbinations that could be.. send us the link again, but chuck a space in it, ill know what u mean.. thanx
irvin 10-23-2003, 11:19 PM Hi,
I was wondering typically how much do you have to pay to get a $6.95 enom reseller account either from someone else or enom itself?
If you're an enom reseller (either you got it from enom directly or someone else selling enom reseller account to you), would you have to have a merchant account for processing credit card payment? Or that enom reseller account already include the merchant account (whole package)?
Can I actually resell domains just by being an enom reseller, i mean do i still need some other software like DRAMS to sell domains?
Has anyone used DRAMS before? Pls share here with us how you go with it so far.
Thx

But if someone wants to know about where to get domains, then dont you think that its natural for me to share my experiance.
Maybe someone would appreciate the choices before him and then its upto them to decide for themself which one suits him the best. :)

aingaran 10-25-2003, 08:57 AM Jack..
I'm very interested in them, but their API is confusing as hell.
Have you tried it? Have you implemented it to your site?

They have a fine print "* Domains Galatta offer with our hosting plans"
I hate these fineprints...

Has anyone used Dramsystem? Is it worth $60? I'm thinking of switching from dotster..
aingaran 10-29-2003, 11:22 AM Well, don't you pay $12.00 for a dotster domain?
If you have a drams license for $60.00 you get a $7.95 enom account.
That's a difference of $4.05/domain.
If you had at least 15 domains with Dotster, you make up the $60.00, and then start making a profit.
