View Full Version : Starting a new biz?
kwes43 10-22-2003, 11:58 PM Hello Everyone,
I want to start a catering business. Could everyone please tell how to cook, what to cook, how to make a menu, how to set tables, how to wash dishes, how to get customers, how much I will make and how to advertise? This would help a lot.
Thanks!
:homer:  :roll2:
mpalamar 10-23-2003, 12:16 AM Do you know where I can get free dishes, spoons, forks, pots, pans, napkins, towels, etc? I only have $10 to start my business.
PlacidHost 10-23-2003, 12:21 AM 1) Mix ingredients, place in oven at 350 degrees for 18 hours. (Any less may produce POISON GAS!)
2) Cook everything at www.recipezaar.com
3) Microsoft publisher- be sure to include lots of photos of cartoon characters as these turn on the consumer's buying impulses
4) Cover table with large cloth. Put a candle, flowers, or another interesting and attractive ornament in the middle of the table. Place a plate on either side of the item in the middle of the table. Place Fork & knife on the left side of each plate. Put a spoon on the right hand side of each plate.
5) Insert items into dishwasher, fill little container with soap (any kind will do). Close container. Turn it to wash, push start, or lock the door (depends on your model).
6) Kidnap them.*
7) You will make upwards of $0.01 in your first year (Revenue, not profit).
8) Threaten many people to place your logo on their personal property/buildings or you will murder their loved ones/pets.**
*I do not condone kidnapping, as a matter of fact, if you kidnap anybody, I will personally end your life.***
**Threatening is bad. Only do so under the proper parental supervision.
*** I will not actually end your life.
Hope this helps!
Noodles 10-23-2003, 12:47 AM hmm...there seems to be like a new thread like this every other day.
It'd be great if someone could write a general guide.
barko 10-23-2003, 12:58 AM Let's ask Mr. Banana...
He knows how to do it!
ozzie123 10-23-2003, 01:18 AM Hm... you can also cook on my kitchen for that. Just remember to build it first :P

HA! Classic! :roll2:
How many times have we heard "I want all the features of Modernbill/WHMAutoPilot but I don't have any money"?
If you don't have enough customers to spend $100 on Modernbill to bill those customers, then you have serious issues.
Yet I see this every day on WHT. It always amazes me...
TQ Mark 10-23-2003, 02:04 AM I have a business partner. I think he has $12. now we're 120% ahead of where I started out.

And I think he was joking. You need to read more carefully. ;)
There were two posts with this exact sort of thing posted recently. Ah, well, what can I say... in any field where the barriers to entry are this low, there are bound to be people like that. "I heard I can make money FA$T with web hosting! Tell me how you did it so I can copy you." :D
ozzie123 10-23-2003, 03:38 AM Hm... true. I need like... $1500 to take-off to webhosting business with a reseller account. Imagine how much should I spend if I take-off from Dedicated Servers.
First, go to Wendys. Buy tons of stuff.
Then go to KFC, buy more stuff.
Then...Pizza Hut, buy many.
Set uo a grand Buffet!!
Invite me!!!
