I have purchased an international name from
network solutions. Since I would rather not
reveal that name, i'll call it blé.com
the purchase was successful, however, I am
now faced with a challenge... how do I create
the account for that name?
ensim won't tolerate the é character.
what do I name the account after?
AMC-ACE-Z ?
RACE ?
Native Characters?
Any help would be appreciated

WHAT ARE THE STRANGE NUMBERS AND LETTERS I SEE NEXT TO MY DOMAIN NAME WHEN I RECEIVE MY REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION PAGE?
This is RACE encoding language. It is used to translate languages into a common format and is the way your name is stored in some of the systems and databases on the Internet. Your name, in the characters you entered, is represented in some systems in its RACE form - a set of numbers, letters and dashes.
In order to be recognized by the traditional Domain Name System (DNS), the name must be registered using the ASCII character set. The RACE language encoding is a way to represent your native language characters in ASCII characters the DNS understands. It will be important for you to keep the RACE name until all the databases around the world are able to recognize and retrieve your domain name using your own language's characters.

Not sure if that quote helps, but I'm guessing you'd need to use the RACE stuff.

there is an an article on icann's homepage just posted today about it and would guess other announcements in the past.

I really don't know much about it other than hearing these domains aren't particularly usable at the moment. I think this has been going on for a couple of years now since they were first released.
