Hello, everyone!

I am pleased to announce the grand opening of Nitid.Net Webhosting, LLC. After much planning and hard work, we are finally ready to open our doors to the general public. We are a peculiar breed of company in the web hosting industry -- we focus on customer satisfaction first. Our plans are reasonably priced, however, we do not offer some of the bargain-basement prices you may see that are designed to attract new customers but cannot actually be sustained. We can offer our plans even if our customers use 100% of their allotments.

Please take a look at our website, http://www.nitid.net, for more information.

It's really not fair to say that, because most hosts don't stay up as long as they have if their customers are not satisfired (yes I know so don't bring up *****).

But best of luck to you in any case!

I particularly like the rules section

"YOU WILL OBEY OUR RULES"

It's important to show who the boss is.

Well, we feel that while some hosts, especially ones on this board, may indeed care about their customers, we place them FIRST, which is a relatively unique approach. We believe that word of mouth is our best advertising, so no expense or convenience will be spared in our relentless drive to make our customers happy.

As to the second post, I'm not sure if that's a jest or a compliment? Please clarify.

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe he [well, I did too] just found it amusing the way that was phrased, and thought he might as well share the humor with the rest of us ;)

Take a look at your site through the eyes of Netscape.

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement... we've got our fingers crossed!

Jag -- Upon your suggestion, I installed the latest version of Netscape and was mildly dissapointed, but not surprised. Netscape seems to handle CSS in a very non-standard manner. We believe that it is important to stay ahead of technological trends, and so the site was designed according to exacting W3C spec of XHTML 1.1 and CSS. Nothing arcane was used. We can't exactly dumb-down the site and make it non-standards-compliant just for use with a broken browser.

That said, it is viewable in Netscape, and I'm thankful for that at least. I noticed several flaws, though, such as the navbar text being out of alignment with the graphic, the table not being connected, order buttons being out of alignment, and the "css compliant" graphic not being properly transparent. I'll consult some reference material and see if there is a way to correct these netscape flaws without disturbing IE or going against standards.

Thanks for the tip.

no problem ;) . I prefer Opera myself but I do happen to use Netscape and IE6 when viewing other sites for just that reason.

"and we protect your privacy to the highest degree. "

Hows that, I mean someone will always have access to it, no matter what, i mean if the goverment wanted all the information on all your clients, would you not give it to them?

I think this is a bit false and you should re word it or just plain get rid of it, one thing you really can have on the internet is privacy.

Hi GuruXL,

I'm not quite sure what the basis of your concern is. We do indeed take your privacy seriously and will protect it to the highest degree possible. While it's true that as a matter of principle, the Internet is not a private place, that does not mean it holds true for all companies. As to the government question, it is clearly stated in our rules that the one time we will divulge your information is if it is requested in written form by a law enforcement officer.
