Hi guys (moderators that is),

Posts that are innocently off-topic (perhaps due to the ignorance of the poster) and have been moved, don't cause much of an annoyance when the subject appears as "something, etc. ==> MOVED" (or however it is that it appears in the subject line). However what isn't right is when an obvious "advertisement" appears and is moved. Sometimes the subject line still conveys the advertisement. This is very annoying.

IMHO the post should be deleted, not moved. At the very least, it should be moved, and no trace left behind in the original forum. That is, move it without marking it with the subject "MOVED".

Thanks.

Point noted. We usually do delete/move posts appropriately, but occasionally the mods will have a little brain seizure and forget to configure the move so that the 'Moved' flag doesn't appear. I'll ask the others to be vigilant in the future in order to minimise these occurences.

Thanks for pointing that out.
