Is it possible? How to do that?
I was trying for wholenight but doesn't seem to be work.. :(

Does cPanel support this function?
If it's not, is there anyway to do something "similar"?

Thanks :D

You can always go the manual route. Add the A entry to the zone file, add the apache virtualhost entry, add the entry to the cpanel user file, and add the sub to /etc/localdomains. If I missed something, someone should fill it in.

any clearer instructions?
I'm a reseller and I've no root access.
How can I do this in WHM, cPanel?

Thanks a million!

Last I recall it does, they are setup the same way as normal sub-domains are (i.e. by choosing from the drop-down menu); others are free to correct me if I am wrong, but I recall a customer asking me about this just 2 days ago and him saying it worked.

yeah, I was trying to do it in a normal way,
but it works when the subdomain is created on a parked domain, but not addon domain....
:(

If you are just a reseller, contact your host and ask them if they can do the manual route if what JonathanVH said does not work on your end.

When cPanel creates an add-on domain, it puts in a *.addondomain.com into the httpd.conf.

That kills Apache from recognizing subdomains. The only way to be able to add sub-domains to an add-on domain is to ask your host to manually edit httpd.conf as root and remove the ServerAlias *.addondomain.com entry (making sure that there's still a ServerAlias www.addondomain.com entry).

There's more info here kind of.

If you have WHM you can setup subdomain based sites as reguler sites are setup in WHM :)

So you mean my clients will have 2 or more account?

what i mean there is that each subdomain will have its own CPanel etc.. just like 2 seperate domains... :)

I don't think addon domains get their own cpanel DaZ.

they do if they are created seperately in WHM :)

They are individual domains in that case though, and not addon domains.
