After spending like 5+ hours on my PC every day my fingers start to hurt. I spend a ton of time playin games that require pushing the arrow keys a lot and I type a lot of HTML code. Seems like it's mainly typing that's killing me and not use of the mouse. I have a natural keyboard.

Any tips on what I can do or what you guys do when you get finger pains after spending a lot of time on the PC.

And please don't say get out more or something. :) This is my job.

Could be arthritis .... I have it in both of my pointer fingers from spending 14+ hours per day in front of a computer. It doesn't bother me unless there is high humidity.

Is arthritis something I can get as a result of spending too much time on PC? Is there a cure or something I can use to relieve it?

You should check for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It is a serious issue.

Ah, that could be another issue blue ... I have it in my wrists, and yes; it can be very serious. I would suggest seeing a doctor for diagnosis.

I would seriously consider, if I were you, cutting down on your computer time... significantly. As much as possible.

About six months ago my hands/wrists started getting sore from computer overuse and after a few minutes of using a computer I was in constant pain.

I had to go for about four months with barely using the computer at all, only a few minutes each day to check up on things. And do things that were absolutely necessary.

Your job is playing games? Where can I get me one like that

Seriously, sounds like RSI (OOS), but only a doctor is qualified to give you diagnosis, advice and treatment ;) I would take a 30 minute break and head off to the doc if I were you :)

a couple of months back, after coding furiously for about 18 hours - 20 hours a day for 2 -3 weeks (to meet my project deadline), my wirst and forearm started to hurt.

First i tried weights, then changed my keyboard and mouse but it worsen.

Finally my GF decided to drag me to see a specialist are it got so bad that i can sleep at night due to the pain. I was diagonse with a bad case of Repeatative Stress injury (thankfully as i was afriad it was Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). Was doing physio for 2 months till i chock up too high a bill and had to stop (specialist sure makes much more the web host or designers).

Once thing i remember the physio saying was NOT to do weights as it will worsent the condition.

Thinking back, i should have carried on the physio cause i am back to my same old habit again where i spend 80% of the time i am awake in front of a computer and yes..bloooody the pain is back.

I also find it a pain to seperate myself with the computer but i think it is good to go see a doctor if your fingers, wrist or arms hurts just in case it is anything serious. ;)

IMO: All those wrist and keyboard pads/ gel, ego keyboards and mouse, etc etc doesn't make a different. (Tried alot of them recently).

I've been using a PC for 10 years and spend hours and hours on a PC typing and what not and never had a problem with my hands/writes/arms. I must be lucky.
