My first apache log entries start on August 16, 2001. Google found my site(didn't submit it or anything) tonight at 6:46pm.

Googlebot hit my main page, then hit most of the main links. Didn't deep crawl, but I am hoping it'll be back.

Once it finds you, it doesn't stop coming back. It goes through my site every single day *pets googlebot* :) They have the most active robot I've ever seen.

Yes, Google's great for some quick traffic, as it seems to get onto new sites much faster than the other engines. It should be back soon to spider more deeply.

Google tends to deep crawl around the end of the month. Though I think last month it was the first few days of the month. I remember getting a couple of shallow crawls before I got a deep crawl. Now GoogleBot will come by and suck 5,000+ pages a day for several days.

Wish I had that many pages for him to crawl... Hope he likes what he finds...
