Hello,

Would appreciate any help. We are using a managed server using Cpanel and WHM. When you set up an email forwarder for one of our hosted domains in CPanel the email will not forward. This is a problem with all the domains hosted on the server.

Does this have anything to do with local mail configuration. Again thanks for any advice to fix.

I think you need upgrade Cpanel

If it's a managed server, your provider should be able to help with this.

The first port of call should be to check /etc/valiases/domain.com to make sure the forwarders are in there.

Also check /etc/localdomains. Make sure the forwarding domain is in there.

I can forward email using CPanel, but a copy still remains in the POP box, eventually filling up the mailbox.

Can CPanel forward to an outside email address, without leaving a copy of each email in the POP box?

Thanks,
Eric

If not, what is the solution? Run Cron job to delete email every xx days?

Just delete the pop box. If you have a pop box AND a forwarder for that email it will do both (deliver to pop box and forward). If you remove the pop3 account and leave the forwarder it will just forward.
