In my search for a UK Hosting provider a couple of months ago I came across hostroute.co.uk (http://www.hostroute.co.uk/). They also have a .com (http://www.hostroute.com/) version. After searching and comparing I decided that this was the best company for what I wanted: MySQL, PHP, sub-domains, shopping-cart, and the usual standard stuff. I'm on the Advanced plan/100Mb for £9.90/month.

It took a day from ordering to being able to access my account. I just thought I'd point it out in case anybody else was looking for a host provider providing similar services. If anybody else knows of another host provider that provide a similar service for better value for money, and that charges in sterling then I'd appreciate it if you could let me know.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt 9 pounds somewhere around $16.00?


If so, thats a bit much to be paying if you only require 100 MB of space. Try around here, and you should be able to find the same type of plan for somewhere around $9.00 or even $8.00.

These plans would be from providers based in the USA or other places, but it would be better than paying $16 to $18 for the same services.
