View Full Version : Robin of Avara/Hostit365/Resellerspace

Actually, this is related to a post called "Where is Nathan?": http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=195883

But my question is: "Where is Robin?"

Who is Robin? Robin used to be active here, I think, and he manages Avara.net/Hostit365.com. He took over Resellerspace.net a few months ago.

I am a current client of Resellerspace.net and I'm actually concerned about the state of things over there now - unanswered support tickets, forum posts, and e-mails. Robin assured Resellerspace customers before that the service will be maintained but then he's not returning any mails.

Are there clients of Avara.net and Hostit365.com here? Is Robin attending to your queries and all? Because if that's the case, then Resellerspace customers - who are currently unattended for weeks now (I for one still have an important open ticket, unresolved for 20 days as I posted this) - should take it as a hint regarding the next steps to take.

I started this thread here because Robin is not responding to my mails and I need to decide if I have to move on. Does anybody know if Robin is OK? I prefer to stay if only Robin/Avara really intends to keep Resellerspace running (which really was the best hosting service I've had so far when it was managed by Nathan Mckinlay).

I am concerned too. I have a ticket over a week old and havn't been able to pay for my account for over a month due to a credit card issue.

I am concerned for the accounts I have with them.

Like I said before I would be happy for someone to transfer them to a new reseller.

It may be time to jump ship.

The problem is, no one seems to be tending the store at the moment. I, for one, will think about my decision whether to stay or go probably after Robin finally responds.

Even Nathan, who kindly takes time to visit the ResellerSpace forum and help out in general matters once in a while even after announcing the change of ownership, seems to have left the RS board completely. But then again, that's understandable because Nathan doesn't have to do that. After all, it's not his call (and service) anymore.

I really hope Robin is OK.

All my sites there are down! And it seems no one is at the helm of the ship!

I just put in an emergency ticket on top of the old billing ticket that has been sitting there 17 days. I will give him time to answer.

For Gods sake man just come to the forums and say you need help if nothing else! I am sure some of us can get together and try to do something temporarily to help him out.

If my sites aren't back up soon I am sure I will lose all of those clients! Which are the clients I have for that domain.

I moved but I never got all my customers off the account and had to leave a few behind. Now all sites are down again.

My tickets havn't been answered in 3-4 weeks!

The resellerspace.net site is down too. Man I wish I could get away from them completely I just need to get all my remaining customers out of there.

I may have a long night trying yet again to move some of these PHP sites over to try and salvage their sites if I can even access them!

I hope the server mars does not cease to operate due to non payment because I still have few clients there that need to be move out.

Their neptune server is still up though.

I have a question who is the main provider of resellerspace? worst comes to worst is it possible to contact the main provider of the server incase resellerspace decided to pull of the plug of mars server and let say make a short deal like 1 week to put it back online? of course we need to pay them.

anybody ?because I dont want to leave my clients there.

These servers are at the planet.

I am with you! I am moving someone right now now...a really good customer. I think I have figured out how to get the PHPNuke sites moved like I did the PostNuke sites.

I am on mars and it just went back up, but it pees me off I have to sit and worry about the few I have left over there, but all my clients are imortant to me unlike resellerspace.net.

We need to figure out like I said before if there is something that we can do as the customers to take control of the ship until we can all get out of there.

Now if someone had a shred of decency (if they are still alive) they would come to the forums and make arrangments for us to do that.

What the hey! Did they win the lottery and run off to the French Riviera? Go on a month long drunk? get run over by a truck?

That last one is not funny but perhaps something actually did happen to Robin. If so we need to get with theplanet before they are cancelled for nonpayment.

its now up... honestly nathan is good and runs resellerspace well until someone bought the company.

I'm with them.. its already one year and two months I think. the last two months is not good anymore since someone got the company from nathan.

Yes nathan was good. He is upset at what happened to RS after he left but it is out of his hands now.

He may come back (not at resellerspace.net) but don't tell him I told you that. ;)

Robin simply bought it out and ran the whole show through a shredder...absolutely hanging everyone out to dry.

I wish I knew why or what the reasoning was for taking over a seamingly popular company and stomping it into the ground like a sick sadist would do to a baby kitten.

I found out that Robin did answer someones support ticket 2 weeks ago....so he is alive....but nowhere to be found.

Hi Xcel,

Hope you remember me from the forums at ResellerSpace.net. Did you check the option I told you? Have you heard anything new of RSS? What about Nathan?

Take care,

Nathan was considering a comeback but I don't know for sure.

I checked on all the recomendations the others gave me but I have already committed to noc24.com

Those guys are doing some really cool stuff and I expect to have a longstanding relationship with them.

They just bought RVSkins and the new Autoinstaller (not Fantastico) for the servers and this is some stuff I really wanted.

Good luck and I guess we will never know exactly what happened to Robin and RS.

Hi,

Glad to read you are doing good. I'll hang around the forum at RSS for a while, I'm curious about what will happen, so as long as I'm allowed, I'll be there :D

Take care,
