Hi,
Anyone know any probs with hosting a UK .com site with a US host??
I've been searching around UK hosts, looking for a business account able to multihost 5 domains.
All I am being offered is reseller accounts at around £50 per month, which is more than I want to spend.
If anyone can recommend a good reliable UK host who can offer me a multihost account or the same in the US, it would be appreciated.
Cheers

That's pretty expensive for a UK based hosting account, bandwidth is getting cheaper in the UK nowadays with companies like gyron offering 300gb with their servers so you should have no problems finding a reputable host for cheaper with multiple domains.
Some people might argue that the IP address is wrong for SEO however generally there is no problem. A lot of UK hosts actually use US servers as they are cheaper

You need one of the following to be indexed by local search engins (Google UK, etc):
* UK based IP address (doesn't matter what domain tld)
* UK based domain (.co.uk, .org.uk, etc) (doesn't matter where the IP is based)

PieMan,
Finding a company that meets your needs in the UK would not be hard at all. A simple search on this forum should list alot of potential hosts.
You could also post your exact requirements in the Requests forums and hosts will post their plans best suited for you.

Have you tried www.123reseller.co.uk
They have very reasonably priced, UK based multiple domain accounts. I have been using them for quite some time now, and am very satisfied with the quality of their service.

No probs hosting a UK .com with a US host.
I run patientTalk (http://www.patienttalk.com) on Fluid Hosting (http://www.fluidhosting.com) and highly recommend them. Super fast access at all times, excellent service, etc, etc (no bad words about them) and all for c.£9 a month.
