Ok whats up with these guys?? 100MBps for $1000.00... We have a colo center right above us that just got a OC-192 with these guys.. Has any one used them before i had not even heard of them till he told me about there deal..

We use verio and its great but man going from verio pricing to cogentco.com's pricing man.. LOL Is it any good, down time any thing like that just want to see.. For $1000 bucks i will buy a full pipe for the hell of it just to have... I mean come on nothing comes close so how bad is this network i want to know..

It isn't how bad they are, it is what you are actually buying. This has been dicussed to death at least once. Search for the term and you'll find the thread(s).

i remember reading quite a few debates on the subject.

If i remember correctly, it is not quite as reliable as one would like it to be.
I guess you pay for what you get.

Yea thats what i am seeing to now.. Level(3) is having a hel of deal on bandwidth so i may pick them up as the 2nd provider i know they are ok some times.. LOL

Level 3 is not all that terrible, their actually pretty decent, and a world ahead of cogent, although were lookiung forward to when cogent becomes a viable solution.

cogent is coming up fast but they arenot all the way there yet. I may still get a line from them just for testing i mean for 1000 bucks you really can't beat that so.. Hell i may take if some one wants cheap cheap bandwidth then they could have it..LOL

Yea cogents coming into our facility somewhere in october, if your looking for cheap bandwidth and cabinets around there you might contact paul at colo4dallas 214-630-3100 x21 you could get something for cheap from these people, their great.
