I have been with Net Nation for about 2 years. In the past 2 months, I have had many tech support issues to the tune of 2-3 times a week.

I would hate to jump ship, as NetNation tech support is really nice and responsive. On the other hand, having an average of 2-3 incidents is getting to me. The incidents vary from the site being down all together, to subscribers not being able to log in. My site is on an ASP server

What is the normal incident rate at other reliable hosts? I am reading the standard 99.99% advertised rate, and to me it seems like a joke.

What do you recommend I do? Has anyone else had such problems with Net Nations?

Well, I have no experience with that company, but if you're having these types of problems over and over again, it may be time to move.

Generally standard is 99.5 to 99.9. In fact I would say 99.99% is the exception and requires extraordinary planning for redundancy, failovers, heavy investment in infrastructue, and personnel. Anything less would make it an unarchievable task over a period of time. We get 100% on some months, sure... but over a period of 12 months, it's hard to hit 99.99%.

Some hosts get around that by limiting downtime to certain events only as countable, which of course is the cheap way round it, but for a client, you may end up with a lot worst than 99.9 or even 99.5%.
